South Coast Youth Band

CLASSES

After-school band classes start on September 16, 2024, and end on May 14, 2025. The cost is $150.00 for the year. Students will attend Monday classes, plus Tuesday and/or Wednesday band rehearsals.

Beginners:

​

Mondays 3:30 PM- 4:30 PM - Sectionals at Goleta Presbyterian Church.

​

Beginners are students who have never played their instrument before or who want a refresher.  On Mondays, students meet with instrument specialists to learn their instrument.  Instrument instruction is available for flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone and percussion.

Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 PM - Band Rehearsal at St. Mark United Methodist Church.

​

Beginning players meet each Tuesday with the band to learn new music and musical skills.

 

Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 PM - Band Rehearsal at Goleta Presbyterian Church

​

Beginning players meet each Wednesday with the band to learn new music and musical skills.

 

Intermediate/Advanced:

​

Mondays  4:30-5:30 PM - Sectionals at Goleta Presbyterian Church.

​​

Every Monday, intermediate and advanced students meet in sectionals for instrument-specific instruction.

​

Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 PM - Band Rehearsal at St. Mark United Methodist Church.

​

Intermediate and advanced players meet each Tuesday with the band to learn new music and musical skills.
