Classes

After-school band classes start the week of September 14, 2026, and end on May 17, 2027.

Beginners

Students must attend at least one Sectional Instruction class and one Band Rehearsal each week:

Mondays 3:30 - 4:30 PM: Beginning Sectional instruction at Goleta Presbyterian Church

Beginners are students who have never played their instrument before or want a refresher. On Mondays and/or Tuesdays, students meet with instrument specialists to learn their instruments. Instrument instruction is available for flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion.

Tuesdays 3:15 - 4:15 PM: Beginning Sectional instruction at Montecito Union School

Wednesdays 3:30 - 4:30 PM: Beginning Band Rehearsal at Goleta Presbyterian Church

Beginning players meet with the band each Wednesday and/or Thursday to learn new music and musical skills.

Thursdays 3:15 - 4:15 PM: Beginning Band Rehearsal at Montecito Union School

Intermediate/Advanced

Students must attend at least one Sectional Instruction class and one Band Rehearsal each week:

Mondays 4:30 - 5:30 PM: Sectional instruction at Goleta Presbyterian Church

Every Monday and/or Tuesday, intermediate and advanced students meet for sectionals for instrument-specific instruction.

Tuesdays 4:15 - 5:15 PM: Sectional instruction at Montecito Union School

Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:30 PM: - Band Rehearsal at Goleta Presbyterian Church

Intermediate and advanced players meet with the band each Wednesday and/or Thursday to learn new music and musical skills.

Thursdays 4:15 - 5:15 PM - Band Rehearsal at Montecito Union School
