REFUND POLICIES / POLÍTICAS DE REEMBOLSO

Refunds for withdrawing from the South Coast Youth Band may be made prior to September 15th, 2025. The $50 non-refundable registration fee will be retained for processing all withdrawals. If for any reason SCYB cannot place you in a class or the band is cancelled, your full tuition will be refunded, including the registration fee. No refunds will be given after September 15th, 2025.

has my permission to participate in the Santa Barbara Education Foundation (SBEF) South Coast Youth Band program. In consideration for my child's participation, I hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless SBEF and their respective officers, employees, agents, affiliates, volunteers and successors and assigns "releasees" from any equity, which may hereafter arise from my child's participation in the South Coast Youth Band program, save and except for liability that arises as a result of the sole negligence or willful misconduct of the releasees. I understand and acknowledge that this Release discharges SBEF from any liability or claim that I may have with respect to any bodily or other injury, illness, death or property damage that may result from my child's participation. I understand that my child's participation in the South Coast Youth Band program and /or any project, activity, or event sponsored, managed, arranged, or promoted by, or otherwise affiliated or associated with the South Coast Youth Band programs may include activities that may be hazardous to my child. I hereby expressly and specifically assume the risk of injury or harm resulting from those activities. This release and assumption of risks is binding on my heirs and assigns. I do hereby certify that to the best of my knowledge and belief my child is in good health. In case of illness or accident, permission is granted for emergency treatment to be administered. It is further understood and agreed that the undersigned will assume full responsibility for such action, including payment of costs. I hereby advise that the above-named child has had the following allergies or medicine reaction(s) which could limit participation, or unusual physical condition(s) which have been made known to a treating physician and may limit participation (if none, please specify 'NONE').

Registration is on a sliding scale starting at $250 to make it accessible for all participants. Please pay what you can. We cover remaining costs through donations and grants. Scholarships are available—anyone needing financial help is encouraged to apply:

$ 250 - Basic registration fee covers 25% of the yearly cost per student
$ 500 - covers 50% of the yearly cost per student
$ 750 - covers 75% of the yearly cost per student
$1,000 - covers the full cost for one student for the year
